Lastest built date [13th March 2020 10:56] - Fixed CasparCG auto configuration.
DbImporter.exe built date [19th April 2020 22:00] - included logging feature. Fixed import issue on remote host. Log files available under \ddplayout\tools\log. Files InstallFont.vbs and digital-7_0.ttf included under folder \tools for installing digital font automatically.
Keep DDPlayout.exe file up-to-date - Latest built incorporates bug fixes and additional features, so keep it up-to-date by downloading from the shared location.

Installation steps:

1. Download and install 64 bit MySQL 8.0 from

   During installation, choose install Server only, to minimize the installation.
2. Run …\ddplayout\tools\dbimporter.exe to import database to MySQL server.
3. Download and install CasparCG 2.2.0 from

4. Install Flash Player for playing templates from
   Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!
5. Adjust your display screen resolution to 1920x 1080 and don’t use Aero theme. Change power-saving mode and sleep mode to never.
6. Start CasparCG and confirm creation of two screen consumers.
7. Start DDPlayout. By default, it will start in administrative mode.

Hardware as recommended in CasparCG official website.
Basic Operations:

1. Under FileView tab, click import button to import media files
2. Select media folder, select imported files and drag-drop files from Fileview to active playlist
3. Select an event under playlist and click trimmer tab to prepare sub-clips. Change proxy-name and proxy-caption of the selected event in the trimmer tab.
4. Right click on the playlist and select save playlist from the drop-down menu.
5. Select an event from the playlist and click button Play to start the show.

Tips: Right click on the FileView workspace and click Create Symbolic Link to create soft links in the media folder including network drives and restart application.
